Establishing Easements And Roadways
The parcel’s close proximity to the Anacortes airport required that the developer coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration to enable the project to proceed. Considerable planning and much work went into establishing easements and roadways necessary for the community to be developed. Working with the city of Anacortes, the builder was able to negotiate a favorable agreement so that all work could proceed without delay. Focused on single-family detached residential units, the community will feature view properties as well as a community park. Having met all zoning ordinances and Anacortes municipal code, the project is now well underway.
Proposed Code Modifications
With a gross area of 7.48 acres the land tract will easily accommodate the anticipated community. The 48 North Preliminary Plat Planned unit development was ultimately approved with a few proposed code modifications. The developer, Nels Strandberg of 48 North on Fidalgo Island, LLC, has worked closely with the community in order to proceed with the project as expected. This is an exciting expansion in the Anacortes area that will offer Anacortes homebuyers more choices and opportunities when it comes to high-quality single-family homes in a beautiful and thriving community.
